Legal Consideration: Modifying the vehicle's emission control system may not be legally compliant. We recommend this modification for off-road and race vehicles, as Australia does not conduct roadside diesel emissions testing.

Fault Codes and "Check Engine Light": Some vehicles may display a fault code or illuminate the "check engine light" after fitting an EGR blanking plate. Modifying the plate with a 10mm hole addresses this concern by allowing sufficient EGR flow while restricting most exhaust gas to the intake. However, it may not be foolproof, and individual cases might require a customized solution.
- This fault code can be turned off with an ECU remap also available at Motovated Turbo and Mechanical with our master tuner at our Toowoomba workshop.
